Hi there

First.Dot Net Nuke is brilliant. And I would like to repeat my appreciation for those like cathal who patiently repeat the same advice.

But I would like to add a vote for a wiki that covers Upgrading.

I am still having problems migrating to 4.5.1 but I am reluctant to keep raising them until I have thoroughly retraced my path. Meanwhile a wiki could save a vast amount of repeated questions and surfing away from this site for ideas and suggestions.

Regards

Geoffrey

I think I will get this 4.5.1 out immediately.

It sucks, frustrates and infuriates me.

Thought it was going to  be distinct by seeing the installation wizard.

I have installed INSTALL, SOURCE categories, signed in as admin/host but couldn't get the usual menu (Host--->Portals) to install parent/child portal.   I have been on this matter for 3hrs. The documentation is useless (besides none for version 4.5.1).

I will downgrade my DNN back to 3.x I think.

Just to respond on my opinions regarding the answering of frequent questions and documentation.  My personal opinion is that yes documentation will help, but we will always have the same common questions coming up in the forums.  If an individual is working with DotNetNuke and is not very familiar with the technologies used or methods of deciphering error messages they will not be able to find the appliciable documentation piece.  Yes I believe that documentation is helpful, but personally I think that users in the community get better results, and almost just as fast if not faster by asking the questions directly to invididuals that are familiar with the tools.

Just my $0.02
