Looks like the issue is popping up again. Not sure what is going on. Are you still having this problem?

In my opinion the security code for logging you in has never been fixed, going on year 2 now I think. We have to put a "clear your cookies" notice on our website. It usually happens when you login to multiple portal websites on the same domain.

I haven't had this problem since then. A while back I was trying to figure out why the "Remember Me" never works and through that process I changed the "timeout" in my web.config file to a higher timeout period. <forms name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="60" cookieless="UseCookies />.

When I began running into the issue of not logging out, I finally set this back to the default and restarted the IIS application, cleared the cookies again and then just walked away from my computer before I got too angry for the night. I came back to it several hours later and was able to log in. Since then I have left the default setting on the timeout and have not experienced the problem anymore.

I am interested in knowing more about logging into several portals and that impact. I have several portals that I work on at any given time and I was that night, now that I think about it.

How can I get the Remember Me function to work? Has this ever been resolved? I have been using DNN since the first release of version 4.x and I have yet to see this operate properly for me. Increasing the timeout seemed to help as a workaround, but not very effective if I can't logout. Any ideas?

Thanks very much!

We are running DNN Pro 5.4.1.26. I'm using Firefox 3.6.6. I'm signed in as host and am having trouble logging out this morning. Never happened before. I have cleared cache but to no avail.

I open up I.E. and it is fine. I have to log in and  I can log out. But the hosting ais hung open when I use FF.

I don't know what else to do. Not sure how to do the file permissions - if that is indeed what worked in earlier post.

Can someone please help? I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
tnoah

Todd, is your URL internal? Or is it an external url? Can you reproduce this in another instance of Firefox, or just your own.
