There is no CRM specific module for DNN. Active CRM comes the closest but it runs on a seperate server too.

There are several open source CRM solutions available that you could integrate into DNN via an Iframe. The two top ones are based on SugarCRM.  SplendidCRM as mentioned above is an asp.net version which is a plus. I think the best one right now is Vtiger (www.vtiger.com) due to it's explanded features - mainly the MS Office plug-in, Outlook plug-in, and customer service portal. Not to mention regular features the others don't have or charge for.

Hope This Helps

Greg

Can any of these utilise the DNN user credentials - I mean that the user wouldn't have to login again to the CRM after already logging into the DNN web-site?

Also, CRM thinkers/developers, please don't think that tickets is a significant feature wanted by the majority of users. In my mind it is a very low priority - more important is about managing the sales process and projects and interactions with the customer. I was getting really excited about Active CRM for a while, but am less so now that tickets seems to have taken a higher precedence, as an example.

Auto login- through an Iframe type of module is something I have been looking into. You might take a look at the modules avaiable on snowcovered specifically WebHarpoon, one by MobileNow, and some of the other Iframe modules. I do know that the core Iframe module won't do this.

I agree with you on the ticket issue. But then again this is an issue that is part of CRM in general to varying degrees. CRM is more about customer service than it is selling new accounts. None of the online solutions come close to the tools available in the desktop programs like Act! or Goldmine and those two don't interact with the tools available online very well. The majority of the online systems won't even let you do snailmail (vtiger will - via Word templates - which is one of the reasons I like it). None of the online systems will track calls attempted/completed so therefore no sales call reports. Salesforce might be an exception to some of these issues but who wants to spend that kind of money?

Active CRM does not require a seperate server.  It does run under another virtual directory, but can co-exist with DotNetNuke just fine.

Jeff,

Active CRM can easily be configured to use your DotNetNuke database for authentication.  As a matter of fact, with Active CRM 1.2 we included a DotNetNuke Role provider which allows you to authenticate against DotNetNuke with just a few minor changes to the Active CRM web.config.

We have been trading off enhancements for each major section for each release.  For example, Active CRM 1.2 was just released which did focus on Support.  However, Active CRM 1.1 was completely focused on Sales & Leads.  Active CRM 1.3 is scheduled for release later next month.  Active CRM 1.3 will include enhancements for sales order management along with new features for scheduling and project managment.

Thanks,
Will

Sorry Will.  I didn't mean "server" as in hardware. I meant it to mean that it works outside of DNN on it's own "server" software.  Or as you have named it on Snowcovered:

"Active CRM Server"

Again, sorry if anyone misunderstood.
