Still an issue in DNN 5.0! ....  anybody knows when will this be fixed? Or how can I fix it myself?

I would go so far as to say this is a rather major issue. The very fundamental idea of a CMS is for a developer to be able to create something that a user can maintain going forward. If I can't completely template the pages I develop for my clients then I have to leave them with reams of documentation for creating new pages. Not being able to set the skin (or anything at the tab level according to this thread) is a major oversight in a required part of a complete CMS. DNN rocks in every way but this one hurts! BKahuna, did you test it on a current installation? This thread is months old, and I think it is also fixed months ago.

Hello,

I'm using a fresh install of 05.06.01 (238) (latest version at this time) and this is still a problem. I've seen numerous threads discussing this going back as far as 2008 yet no resolution other than upgrade to the latest version. The workaround for this (go into page settings..advanced..change skin) is so un-intuitive for non-technical users I get embarrassed every time I have to do training.

Any thoughts as to a resolution?
