Thanks guys – it all helps.

I’ve decided to stick with Active Forums.
(But I’m not paying for “Professional” or “Enterprise” versions, - bit over priced, so I will try the DotNetNuke version as well and see how they compare.)

I bought it after recommendations from Lee Sykes and Mitchel Sellers etc, so it had to be good.

I was then disappointed on Will Morgenweck’s service and response, just short one sentence reply – not addressing the real issues in my queries.

Took me almost a week to get Will to point me to the manuals so I could start working with them. I also found it odd to have the downloads in forum entries rather than a proper download page?

Anyway, I now played around an it is a good module, I even changed around a bit in the CSS files – and it certainly flexible enough.

Next test is to get a background image into this class:

.afgrouprow{font-weight: bold;font-size: 12px;color: #ffffff;height: 30px;background-color: #3366cc;}
.afgrouprow a:link, .afgrouprow a:visited, .afgrouprow a:active{color:#fff;}

Have a great weekend

Olle.

Olle.

Normally I try and stay out of stuff like this, but Olle, we have really tried to accommodate your problems.  I feel your comments are way off base.  You created a ticket on 8/20 at 6:45 A.M. (-5:00 GMT).  I replied to your ticket in less than an hour.  It then took you several hours to reply, but when you did I replied in less than 5 minutes.  We then exchanged several emails over the course of the next hour which I then emailed you the install package.  Then you continued to have your own technical difficulties which prevented you from downloading a 1.5 mb file over email.  I don't see anywhere in your ticket where we gave you a brief reply that didn't answer your question.  It didn't take a week for you get the manuals.  You have had access to download the manuals since the day you purchased.  You even sent me a screen capture that indicated you knew where the manuals were located.  Several of your emails on the 23rd came through with scrambled HTML and were difficult to read.  When you asked for the manual on 8/24 at 3:15 P.M. (-5:00 GMT), I sent you a reply with the manuals attached in less than 30 minutes.

We are down one support person right so it is taking us longer to reply than we like, but this certainly wasn't the case in your situation Olle.

Thanks,

Will
