Cathal,

That enhancement link kinda furthers my point about how Core SSL is being treated. There is no Core SSL area in the request enhancement page you listed.

Core SSL on this site is missing

-An area in the 'Projects' section like other Core modules.

-Documentation of any kind(tried search to no avail)

-An area in the Request Enhancement Gemini.

Other than the news item stating its out in the new DNN release, it's basically ignored.

I will comment on this but keep in mind that these are my opinions only and are NOT considered offical!

Regarding a projects section for SSL, I don't see this as really being necessary.  Each of the other "projects" here on the DotNetNuke site are related to external modules or providers that can be installed.  The SSL functionality of the core is something that is built into DotNetNuke, just like the page and user management functions and they do not have their own project areas.

Regarding documentation, this is one thing that I know the core team is working on but it takes time to build the documentation that is why you will see many external people writing documentation, tutorials, etc for each of the items, I see this getting better over time, but I also know that there will be a lot of things that have to happen to get to a "great" level of documentation.

Regarding the enhancement request for SSL items in Gemini, since it is a portion of the core, you should be able to just submit it as a suggestion and it will get moved into the core task lists.

Again, this is just my opinion on the matters, the DNN powers at be might have different opinions on this, but as an outsider from the core this is what I see.
