Hi, I have to grant "Edit" permission to one of the users to all the modules of my site. There is an option to copy the "View" permission to all the modules on each page. How can I do it for "Edit" permission? I have created the role called "Content Editor". Is there a way to grant "Edit" permission for "Content Editor" role for each module on each page programmaticaly instead of checking "Edit" checkbox for every module on each page?

Thanks for help in advance

newer versions of DotNetNuke (4.5.x) have an option "Copy Permissions to Descendants" beneath the permission grid in page settings for this purpose.

Yes, it is true that versions of DNN 4.5.x have this option. But it copies only "View" permission. It doesn't copy the "Edit" permission. I have tried. I have set my page to enable "Edit" for Content Editor, updated, and later "Copy Permissions to Descendants", but it hasn't copied the "Edit" permission to none of the modules on this page - I had to set it manually. In my opinion "Copy Permissions to Descendants" copies only the "View" permissions.

I just tested this: both, view and edit permissions, get copied to descendent pages. Note that this does not affect module permissions!

Is there a way to propagate the "Edit" permission for the modules on the page, or should I do it manually?
