Yeah, I know.  This is the weird part.  There is this interesting gap in the CMS space for DNN.  Maybe that's because systems like ADX shouldn't be hard to wrap up inside of DNN (at least in theory).

Nonetheless it's odd.  It's seems to me that the hardest part about writing a CMS is the WYSIWIG.  Since we already have a good CMS in FCK, why hasn't someone coded the rest - approval chains, versioning, etc.?

Right now I am planning on wrapping up Ektron at least for transition purposes, but I don't see us staying with Ektron long term.  I am checking out ADX right now since you mentioned it.

IMHO, if you are used to all of the functionality in Ektron's CMS400.Net, then you will be dissapointed in the lack of comparable functionality in DNN.

While CMS400.Net may not have the same extensibility as DNN in the form of creating packageable custom modules, there is an API for creating custom functionality for a CMS400 based website. You can either program your custom functionality yourself, go through an Ektron Partner, or have Ektron's Professional Services department do it for you.
