Holy triple post, Batman. :)  They are not dogfooding the new forum module, are they? The site is quite snappy still, so it doesn't appear to be a function of servers timing out from my perspective...

this may not be a forums performance issue but rather an issue with sending emails during the posting process.  Notice that immediately after clicking Update the post appears on the forum list (viewed from a separate browser window) but post never seems to complete to return to the previous screen.

I bet you are correct mr. makeportal.

But I think it is also causing a CPU problem because it takes forever for me to just pull up a post for reply.
