I started my localhost testing of DNN 4.6.0 and I am impressed.  Everthing that I rely on works so far.  That is a first for a dot-zero release!  I can import a portal template from a 4.5.3 generated template, I can export a current template and create a parent portal from it. So far all of the non-DNN modules that I use work.

I am curious about the new OpenID, it appears enabled but there is nothing different on the login screen. What all is required to use this feature?

I spoke too quickly . In the submit of this post I got a yellow screen, but the post went in.

When OpenId is enabled you should see a listing of login options (Standard, OpenId) and then the users can elect for that option.

If you look at the login page on my site http://www.mitchelsellers.com you will notice Standard and LiveId as options as those are the two I have enabled.

NOTE: I did notice that after enabling these settings I had to wait about 10 minutes for the changes to be noticed.  I am guessing due to caching...

Interesting on my localhost they don't show up even though thet are enabled in the host settings. I disabled PageBlaster to see if that was involved. I also switched from having a private login page to the regular DNN way.  Still they don't show up.

Since I was only playing and didn't intent to use them I think that I'll leave it there unless someone wants me to try something else.

Hey Dave,

You'll want to go into the authentication under admin menu and turn openid or liveid on first. I had a hard time finding it myself but once I did it was easy to load up.
