I just upgraded and first found that all my skin links are dead, my skins have all reverted to DNN blue. and also I can not login....big problem. when I click the login link, the page simply updates, I am not sent to the login page.

Has anyone encountered these issues? could anyone offer some help.

Im really looking forward to getting 4.6 working.

Mark

Just going to expand on my last post, seems that even tab links do not work all the time, sometimes they work, sometimes I just get a page refresh....

I think I am tracking down the problem but have no idea of the fix. There seems to be an issue with the new Authentication openID and LiveID.
this could have been a very major problem for as on all my portals when I try to log in I get an object reference error....but luckly on one portal Im using a custo login module that can still be used to log in and there I get this error at the top of the page skin

Could Not Load Skin: /Portals/0/Skins/Eigo-go/eigo-goHome.ascx Error: E:\FTPSites\school\Admin\Security\Signin.ascx.vb(375): error BC30002: Type 'DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationController' is not defined.

and when i go into the Authentication tab i get these

DotNetNuke Authentication Settings

Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfigBase.get_AuthenticationModuleID() at DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfigBase..ctor(Int32 portalID) at DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfig..ctor(Int32 portalID) at DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.AuthenticationConfig.GetConfig(Int32 portalId) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Authentication.Settings.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

what am I missing?

Thanks for the help

Ensure that all files copied when you did the upgrade, especially the "DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/" folder (I believe that is the proper name...)

I found that the dnn Control SIGNIN SRC has been changed in this version, so I have to update it on ALL my portal skins

the old SRC is

~/Admin/Security/Signin.ascx" %>

The New one is

~/admin/Authentication/Login.ascx" %>

but this still doesnt fix the problem. and all the files are in the appropriate places....but there is still an bject reference error on the login module CORE DNN
