move a child portal from a server into another server

hello everyone,

our company is going to redesign whole DNN site including skins and contents, we will do a fresh install,but many child sites of old installation want to keep same. how can move child sites from old server into new server. could anyone give me advise?

child portals are subfolders of a parent portal, i.e. all are sharing same domain and need to reside on same server. you will need to convert child portals into parent portals, e.g. residing in subdomains, e.g. instead of www.mydomain.com/sub they will need to become sub.mydomain.com.

after i convert the child portals into parent portals, what should i do? how can I move all contents of a child portal into new server, do i have write the sql script?

the parent portal is redesigned and also for all the page contents, but the child site will keep the same. so I only move the child site and not move the parent site. how can people move the portal from one host company to anther company?
