I was glad to find this thread.  Has anything changed or progressed on this?  I am involved in a project that is using DNN but making the "Remember Login" work as expected has recently been made a serious Requirement.  We are in no position to unplug from DNN, so can someone point me to a serious, practical workaround?  Or point me to info on how this got fixed or upgraded in a recent version of DNN?   Thanks in advance! - Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

look in your web.config at the , find the authentication section:

        <authentication mode="forms">
            <forms name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="60" cookieless="UseCookies"/>
        </authentication>

and set the timeout to a value that suits your situation.  The value is in minutes, I believe.

There is a new setting that allows you to keep the setting for temporary cookies but set the value for permanent cookies.

    <add key="PersistentCookieTimeout" value="0" />
    <!--use as persistent cookie expiration. Value is in minutes, and only active if a non-zero figure-->
