The last three posts I have done to the forum haven't resulted in an email when someone posts a reply. I checked my profile and all is correct. The mail isn't in Google App's SPAM folder.  Is this a "feature" of the new forum?

this is a bug of the current Forums version, that shall be solved in next one. Currently you get emails for forums, you subscribed to, but not for individually subscribed threads.

The new forum module and its "critical" bugs was why I just upgraded to Active Forum!  The forum module is the life's blood of this site. How anyone could leave it for weeks in a state where people who posed and clicked on Notification wouldn't get notified is beyond me. You might was well shutdown this site if people are going to get notified.

are you volunteering to fix it?

This is an open source project relying on people to contribute for free - andwe all know, that there are other contraints in people's live that might keept them away from participating, like their paid job, family, etc.

Not everyone is a developer. Yet again, those who are might have no interest in developing the forum module- their interests might remain elswhere. Development of the forum module should continue... but why should the entirety of the  DNN community have to suffer it's slings and arrows? The tolerance and generosity of the community should not be considered as an endorsement ...
