hello,

On the site that I am working on there we have a module that needs to access the styles of the skin of the page. Is this possible?

thanks

What do you mean by access the styles of the skin? If you mean use the styles that are in the stylesheet of the skin, all you have to do is use the same class names.

So, say the pane I want to access the styles of is named 'ContentPane' I would optimally do something like:

this.Page.Skin.Panes["ContentPane"].Class = "newClass";

But I could also see going through a TabController or something like that.

thanks

Hmmmm I'm not sure how you would go through that in code and do that.

Is this something that you have to do in code? If you're just trying to override a style being applied somewhere there are other ways to go about it.

Well, lemme explain the situation. We have a control that has several different states, on each state there is supposed to be a different background. The background goes beyond the edges of the module. The background is implemented in css which is in a class that is on a div, this div I have made runat="server" and given it an id. I'm hoping to be able to access the div and manipulate the class on it. I could do this in javascript on the client side. I could also do this in the code behind of the skin, so I would extend from skins.vb. If you know of a way I would be much appreciative.
