I tried to point out the inefficiency of the core in various ways about 2 years ago.   Fortunately, lately much has been improved.

However..   I am almost certain this has nothing to do with custom modules.    I don't know if you mean when it's loaded or if you choose something on the menu, etc.

There was a double post back on Module Actions (this would cause it).  Let me know how your module is loading..    through a menu click, link, directly via url, etc.

My module gets loaded when the page it lives on is loaded, generally be a menu selection.

Yep, same here. Module is loaded as it's parent page is displayed via a menu-click. Hits Page_init and queries the db, retrieving data then does it all again. I don't even have IActionable implemented yet...is THAT a problem? All this does right now is display test data already in the db. ie: get it, show it BUT, it "gets it" twice :-) Cheers

Additional issues... In the Page_Init method, I have an "If not Me.IsPostBack then" statement and execute other code within that accordingly. If a user selects a button or dropdown list item and it is wired it ought to "post back", but the IsPostBack flag is still false when it hits page_init AFTER firing the controls relevant event. Am I not seeing this correctly? Thanks

Have you been able to solve it?
