The problem is there is a single server here in which applications' ll be hosted for client review and also there is a single database server for client review,. If I have two websites to be hosted(both use the same IIS and database, after deployment), how to overcome this problem? For creating two websites I've created two virtual directories as in ASP.NET. Can I have two databases in the same server? I'm new to DNN, Can u please explain in detail

You can have as many databases as you wish.  You can use a single database by using a modifier in the setup to separate tables/procedures.  Or you can use parent portals in the same DNN installation.  There are adavantages and disadvantages to each, but a good rul of thumb would be to give separate clients separate databases and the same client with separate sites a portal in the same DNN installation.  Modifiers should only be used if you have a host that allows only a single database.
