Are there plans for the DNN core team to work with AspDotNetStoreFront in making their storefront module PABP certified?
On the AspDotNetStoreFront's website, they claim that the standard version is PABP certified, but the DNN version of their software is not because of the DNN core.
 
Understandably, the ASPDNSF team can't change the DNN core code, my question is  Is there any plans to work toward this certification?
 
I purchased ASPDNSF due to the high praise from Sean, and other DNN members. However, I am still baffelled why the Flagship Dotnetnuke Marketplace was never coverted to the DNN version of AspDotNetStoreFront.
 
Looking forward to any thoughts, opinions, or corrections :)

 There are plans for a PABP certified version of ASPDNSF ML/DNN.  As far as I know the DNN version has not gone through the requisite certification process which would identify any areas of the core that would need updating.  Due to our current resource level, we would have to evaluate any needed changes and see how they impact the entire community and not just a single vendor.

DotNetNuke Marketplace is being converted to run on the DNN version of ASPDNSF, but like everything, it has to be prioritized with everything else that we manage.  Because of extensive extensions which were written for the core ASPDNSF platform, the migration is not a straight forward process and is taking longer than would normally be expected.

That makes me feel a lot better knowing that "DotNetNuke Marketplace is being converted to run on the DNN version of ASPDNSF".

Acording to ASPDNSF, it is up to DNN to make the nessaary changes to make the ML/DNN version PABP certified. However, if the marketplace is being converted I guess they will be in the same boat we are in, so I guess it will be figured out then. Meanwhile those of us running ML/DNN have issues.

October 1, 2008, Level 3 and 4 merchants must be PCI DSS compliant or use PABP-compliant applications. This is the big one for PABP compliance, after this date, you better make sure your applications are PCI or PABP compliant. Those who aren’t, we be fined and no longer be able to accept credit cards baring the Visa logo. This is HUGE.

I'm very curious as well.  It looks like the real deadline for this is Oct. 1, 2009.  Here's the verbiage from the CISP bulletin.  This does not leave much time, unless I am not understanding the impact.

Phase IV

VNPs and agents must decertify all known vulnerable payment applications, including those published on Visa’s quarterly list of vulnerable payment applications. As future vulnerable payment applications are identified, VNPs and agents must decertify these applications within 12 months.

Phase IV is intended to eliminate the continued use of vulnerable payment applications by acquirers, merchants and agents within the payment system.
