If I told my manager I wanted to release the day before or on a holiday..  he'd laugh me out the door.

I agree.

This is why..  support.

I disagree, I am here :D

The 26th is not a holiday by the way.

Here in Germany (Old Europe) it is.

I had beta access at one point last year..  however that is gone.  I take that as meaning my input/review is not needed.

The response of the Beta test program last year did not meet the expectations and was suspended by the release managers, i.e. no personal offense.

I should word it better and would if it were modules not working

That's why there is an release process for modules and providers, and (nearly) all extensions are well tested before they get released.

However, when a basic upgrade with nothing else on the site does not work...  somebody should be yelling.

Accoding to the issues reported, there was obviously an oversight by the release managers (I haven't tried an upgrade yet).

We will try our best to release a fixed version soon. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Jody,

there is an error in the upgrade code, referencing a file, which has moved last minute before packaging.

please log the broken images issue in the public issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com

please allow Active Modules some time to test their modules with the new version and release a fixed version.

I suggest to upgrade not beyond 4.9.1 at the moment.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Brian,

Out of curiosity, the sites that failed to upgrade, were they previous 4.9.0 sites?  Or had then been upgraded from previous versions?

I assume upgraded to 4.9.0.   To be honest, it doesn't matter for issue #1.  I already pointed out the offending code and it runs for all upgrades even 4.9.0 to 4.9.1 so I wouldn't even upgrade to .1 right now.

As far as the other issues..   let me know what you need from me to research.
