Decent looking site. Too bad you can't ship to me.

Shipping liquor is very frustrating!  Both Marc and I grew up in Minnesota and I still live here, yet we can't "legally" ship to Minnesota.  However, WI is open, almost like a Sunday beer run to Hudson.  Plus, Beau, who originates from Ohio, is also a state on the no ship list.

Good looking site.  I did notice that your flash banner runs contrary to most. Most flash banners take too long to switch to the next one - yours is running just a touch too fast. It is hard to finish reading all the text before it switches.

I have always liked the functionality of catalook but found it is loading to slow .... but you did a good job making it quick enough ..... is it run on a dedicated server ? is there anything you have done to trim the server and/or db to support the the IIS to deliver faster?

We are lucky enough to have two dedicated boxes in a nice co-lo, a DB and Web server, both running W2008 64bit, so we are able to cache everything in ram.  Plus, I can set the application pool to not unload for 24 hours so I can keep the application in memory.

Catalook has been an interesting experience, there are a ton of features, but with those features come a ton of overhead.  We shall see what happens once we start ramping up traffic.
