Actually DotNetNuke.com is running 4.9.2, but I expect that's because the bug fixes in 4.9.3 are extremely minor and they are waiting till DotNetNuke 5.1.0 Professional comes out to upgrade.

A couple of considerations come to mind when I read a thread like this.

1) Don't use DNN 5.x as an upgrade path!  At least not yet.
2) Look at which modules you want to use and determine if they are 4.9.x or 5.x compliant.
Some of the "new" core modules will only work with DNN 5 and some of the 3rd party vendors have already made the switch to DNN 5 exclusively.

It's a tough choice and I am stuck in the middle but for my production site I dont have a choice but to wait.  I have core & 3rd party module depencies and I need to upgrade.  I have to wait.

Version 5 is still in beta status so release 4 is the only choice I think.

But 3:rd party modules/vendors should wait with only making modules for DNN5? I would do so anyway ..... is there a large difference bewteen making a module compliant for both DNN 4 and DNN 5 instead of making a module for DNN5 only?
