how to tune a large content site to serve pages in less than 0,5 seconds even when heavy loaded, 10000 visitors every hour is the key thing here:

Web farm fronting a SQL cluster with a caching hardware load balancer in front of all, like a BigIP unit.  Then some serious application tuning, SQL database tuning and a lot of custom caching and changes to the core.  Plus, nobody on a slow connection is allowed and every page served has to be minimized.

slow connection is not a problem for us ..... for them every web i slow ... No what is very important is that dotnetnuke sites cannot be slower than other CMS system this is the primary focus here .... some people say Joomla i faster but we cannot help .... we need to build a very fast and large site in CMS. The reason that we know dotnetnuke som much better than joomla cannot be the reason to choose such a system ..... I'd like to get hold of at least 10 domains with large content that is very fast..... opens less than a second and is served by dotnetnuke .... can somebody post them here please so we can analyse?
