Thankfully i was partially wrong and the vendor will support 4.8

Unfortunately that still leaves us vulnerable to some nasty bugs.

I can only speculate reasons but my suspicions are similar to whats been mentioned in this thread.

Thank you all very much for your assistance, i wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment expressed in your reply's. Unfortunately im a programmer not a politician, and can only hope logic will prevail... it makes me feel sick to think of the consequences.

They should be supporting 4.9.x by now as it has been out in the field for quite some time.

I can understand the need of being one version of DNN behind however as it can take time for module developers to catch up.... in most instances I notice module developers become compatible with a DNN version within a month of release at the very latest.

In the end the module developer will lose business by not keeping up with demand.

Due to the fact, that DNN 4.9.3 does not include breaking changes, I am sure, that your solution will work on latest version as well, except the module developers are using undocumented methods (oops, "inofficial" interfaces) or even do change the core (a no-go). I'd suggest to test it on a duplicated environment an look for a reliable provider of suitable solutions.
