Probably why then, we need something to point to in Gemini.

The reason I didn't report it into gemini was because at the time I was only able to reproduce it on the dotnetnuke.com site, all my portals functioned fine. I guess that's what I get from going from 4.8.3 to 5.0.0 and skipping the entire 4.9.x branch...

That's your first step - 4.9.4 was supposed to fix your issue.

Andrew, what are you going to upgrade to - 5.x?  The problem still exists in the 4.x versions. Someone on a 5.x site should check if it is an issue on there too I guess... (set cache to 12000+ and check)

Here is the original issue which was supposed to have been fixed in 4.9.4 - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=8892&PROJID=2

I have raised a new one too - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=10419

Hopefully someone from the core can confirm if this is an issue affecting all 4.9.4 installs and I think we need to tell people that they might be losing out on PR (and how to fix it with my fix above in the mean time).

Well we definately know there's an issue for just about everyone in 4.9.3
4.9.4 the symptoms might not effect all users. Keen to collect more evidence here specifically from 4.9.4 users.
