Hi All,

I wonder is it planned to implement in place activation of DNN (custom) modules' edit mode in one of not that far future 5.x versions?

Is there any known/documented way/technique to implement such in place activation in currently released DNN 5.x version?

Thank you.

Are you talking about inline editor (available in Text/HTML module only atm)?

CKEditor 3.0 supports a similarintegration from the editor, the provider team needs to figure out with the core developers, how to make it available for core and other modules.

Hi Sebastian,

I mean that when the edit view of custom module is opened then left and right panes disappear. Not that a big issue, but IMO it would be more user friendly to have edit view opened with left and right pane visible.

I have got now XMod Pro purchased and it works well - the way as I wanted edit view of custom module's form  to be working.

Thank you.

it is by design, that all non-default views of modules are displayed solitarily on admin skin and container.

A module developer is able to override this behaviour in his module however.

Thank you for your clarification, Sebastian. I have missed this feature.

If that can be described in a few words could you please write here how this feature can be turned "On"?

If a lengthy explanation is needed then I will try to find it in DNN developers' documentation.
