I love the new forums which seem much more responsive and stable.  The new avatar's are a great addition (just remember that your avatar should use a 1:1 aspect ratio otherwise it will get distorted).

Well, so far the notifications aren't working.

I checked the notifications checkbox when I started this thread. It doesn't show up in notifications area under My Settings. Nor did I receive any emails for any of these  posts. Darn!

Search seems to work - at least it doesn't crash outright like it did before - haven't tested to see how well it works yet though.

Trying to figure out what the small bar chart is next to people's names. Mine has all bars green everybody else's has all bars black.

Everybody has a PM button in the header but it doesn't work (don't think it is turned on). I've found the PM feature to be very handy in the one DNN site I know that uses it - Ventrian.

I am surprised that notifications aren't working.  That was one of the driving factors in the upgrade. Hopefully it is just a set up issue.

I like the new organisation. Shame we still do not have an SEO forum.

I agree with others that the new colour scheme is not good. There are clear w3c guidelines relating to contrast and readability that really should be looked at and factored in by designers.

Apart from the new style having no graphical relationship to the skin and the loss of the DNN colour (branding)  having mid blue links on grey bg's is not a good idea. The post list is difficult to read - you have to actively look rather than simply scan as you could with properly styled content.

Looked at on my colour calibrated monitor it's borderline OK. Look at it on an older, washed out monitor and a visited link almost vanishes.
The post link colours simply need to be darker.  The easy thing would be to take the darker colour from the existing darker blue bar.

I also note that the text size widget has gone from this site. Effectively DNN now makes NO concession to anyone with sight issues.
(Yes I know about Ctrl+ but that scales everything and is not remembered on subsequent visits).

I am still blessed with good sight but so many are not. Many people who have colour blind issues will see light blue as grey (on grey!)
In the EEC there is enforceable law relating to website "accessibility" - its only really applied to larger sites with lots of traffic but you may want to consider this angle. No idea what exists in the US.

Nice change. Search by author and email notifications seem to be chronic problems.
