@Peter,

Thanks for your replies, I agree completely.  In case that I may have miscommunicated, I am more than happy with the regularly releases.   If that requires a 5.4.5 and 5.4.6, that is fine with me.  I fully agree that it is good for the community to create a situation where Corp issue a release and it is subjected to such stringent tests that few bugs slip through.  I do not believe that can happen with releases twice a year.  Regular must be better for all of us in the long term.  I presume that they are in the process of building those tests now.

I think that over the next year, we have to figure out how the community can assist in the release process.  I wonder is it possible for the corp to issue various test sets that we can run here locally and the submit the results back to Corp.  That would be really great if we could get to the stage where Corp issue a RC and the suite of tests to match that RC.  We then all run the tests against that RC in our local environment and feed back the results.
