I just removed the refs and readded them and I get access to the controls in the WeControls assembly. try that.

No luck Phil.  I looked at the DNN source and I have exactly what it has.  This is crazy.   I don't get it.  At one point I could see some controls DNNButton and the like but I can't even see that now.  Everything looks like its setup right.  Maybe a web.config or VS project setting?

Here's an interesting item.  Even though VS complains in the ascx source that dnn:commnandbutton is unknown it displays on the page as "Submit Query" in Firefox and as an unknown link (square box) in IE.  Both seem to work when pressed.

I'm wondering if this isn't something to do with VS 2010.
