Re DNNWerk advanced login module.

I am aware that any support requests should be via CodePlex but as this module seems to be off DNNwerks radar with no responses for ages so I was wondering if anyone here had managed to get it working without the "BC30002: Type 'Dictionary' is not defined error" when trying to open the modules settings.

I would be the last person to be critical of DNNWerk - their normally wonderful modules are in use on many of my clients sites and of course the login module is free.

The thing is: The DNNwerk login module offers a far better set of very useful features than the core login so it is a real shame it does not work on any 6 series site.  Unlike the core login the elements are actually lined up and do not require 10 lines or more of css to make look reasonable, it can fit into a smaller space and the display changes properly to remove the login fields once the user is logged in (as the core login module used to do).

I would be very happy to pay for this sort of module. Does anyone know of any other alternatives.  Most offerings on SC are from 2008/09 or have silly pricing / un-needed features.

I was looking for a way to modify the login module and downloaded this module (I hope we are talking about the same one).  I was able to get it to work pretty quick and it even solved another problem I had, requesting a username and not just the password.  However, I do have a couple of questions about it.  First, I copied the default template and modified it to not show the register link.  However, it still shows up.  Not sure why.  Second, I can't find where I can change it because the "register" link tries to go to my "profile" section.

Paul

The sad answer is that this module does not work with any late version of DNN.  Such a shame.
Actually the lack of any work on this and other very useful DNNwerk modules may mean that DNNWerk modules make it into the core  (again).
Fingers crossed .

I apologize but issue notification on that project had been turned off, so I never received e-mails about your issues.

I will check your issues, can't be a big thing. I have that module up and running on at least one DNN 6.

Cheers,

Hi Philipp

This is very good news. Might this also be a good time to tell you that User manager has some real issues with DNN post 6.1.1.

Many thanks for your modules.

Ian
