Hi

Is there any event on a module which is called/can be called when user logged out from DNN site.

This requirement came as in module i am creating some cookie and saving it. But when user logged out, i wanted the cookie to be destroyed and in my case as cookie is present in browser, so when same/any other user logged in they can access features from the module as cookie already present.

Thanks,
Sunil Kumar [ DNN Developer, Mindfire Solutions,India ]

Sunil,

what about "personalizing" the cookie, say store the username in the cookie and check it before you read any other values stored in it?

Best wishes

Hi Michael

Thanks for ur time. I understood ur point. My case in detail is like, user logs in then module appears and user again put some credentials there to connect to web service and successful connection returns url and a token which is being stored in the cookie and until user logged out cookie needs to be there so that he can access the service.

For that i require the cookie to be deleted once user logged out. I want to do that in module level.

Thanks,

Sunil,

as far as I know there is no "OnLogout" event available.

You can do that by modifying the login/logout code and create your own override for that, or think about other ways to realize this functionality.

Best wishes

We had already done this. But this is not perfect as not every site owners are going to modify the Logout page on code level.

Anyway thanks for ur "cookie personalisation" idea.. This works someway even still not able find the way to delete those cookies.

Thanks agin.. :)

Thanks,
