C'mon. You have to do some of this!

Is the message there before you add your module? Is it there after? That tells you if it's to do with your module or the way you have it set up.

I was seeing the same problem, but I started with "DotNetNuke 7 C# Compiled Module" instead of the DAL2 module.

To fix this issue all that was needed was to go back into IIS into the website and remove the virtual directory Visual Studio created on "DesktopModules".

This seems to happen every time I create a new module project.

I had EXACTLY the same issues as Stefan, and Brent's solution worked like a dream. I just can't believe that it took me so long to find an answer. Thought that would be a common problem with an easy solution.
