As mentioned earlier, one of the NON SharePoint ideas floated was having a dedicated DNN master portal who's only purpose was to manage content by the Content and Policy department, this portal will not be public facing, will have its access by Active Directory and will probaly hold a lot more content than just what will apear on our various public websites / portals (I guess this master portal could even be used internally as an intranet/ communication tool).

This content when approved on the master portal could be then be shared with other portals via some means.  For example the main council and touirism portals would certainly share any upcoming events but business portals would probaly not.

I know that DNN has cross site module sharing and I have tested this out and know it works ok, but I suppose if we are talking about 2,500 pages??????.
So the question I ask you gurus out there is how would you approach this possible scenario.
i.e data readers as skin objects, modules in page templates, other ways or even "dont attempt this!!!!!!!!"
As a fairly new user of DNN I dont want to create nightmare scenarios.
