I have created a sitemap.xml from a third party tool. I uploaded the xml file to root folder of dnn instace.

For some reason when browse the sitemap.xml it shows the default dnn sitemap. How can i disable dnn sitemap and make my sitemap.xml as the main sitemap.

 Regards,

Geo

Hi Geo;
You need to delete or Cut/Copy the existing sitemap.xml from the root of your site and copy in your new sitemap.xml file.
After you've done that it's best to purge the current site map cache.
You can do this by logging in as Host or Admin and navigate to Admin > Search Engine Site Map
Expand "General Sitemap Settings" then click the "Clear Cache" button.
This will force the Sitemap to regenerate using your new file

Hi Ken,

I cleared the cache but nothing changed. Sitemap looks same.

sitemap.xml in the root folder dnn is having around 60 url. But when i browse the http://www.mydomain.com/sitemap.xml it shows 25 pages. i think this sitemap.xml is generated by dnn. I just want disable the dnn sitemap provider and make my actual sitemap.xml is for google web master tool

Regards,

Geo

Hi Geo;

I gave incorrect instructions regarding the location of SiteMap.xml file

You should copy n' paste your new file to this location within your web folders:  \Portals\0-System\Sitemap

This is the location where you'll find the file and where you need to place your updated SiteMap.xml file.

You need not clear cache. The system will auto update when a changed file is dropped in the \Portals\0-System\Sitemap path

Hi Ken,

 I moved the sitemap.xml generated by third party tool to /Portals/0/Sitemap/ folder.

Still have no luck. Do you have any idea?

 Regards,

Geo
