Lynn, you've lost me. In my case, the problem with the background was with FTB running in DNN 4.3.4.  When I switched to FCKeditor, the background color was no longer an issue. Yet, you're posting a solution to the background color issue for FCKeditor -- an issue that I, at least, have not encountered. So, just so I'm clear, you and others have experienced the background issue for FCKeditor as well?

YodaRocks I have to admit, installed FckEditor from the start, so I don't have experience using the text editor with out it.  Sorry if I have confused you.

This is an easy Fix.

Just edit the css file of your skin to look work like this ....

body
{
    background-color:white;
}
body#Body
{
    background-color: black;
}

as you can see above Dotnetnuke will use the background color of black because DNN uses <body id="Body">
everything else like the text editor will use the regular Body tag which is set to white

hope this helps someone.

Brad,

Does this solve the "centering of the text" problem.  My FTB is the background color and it is centered.

Thanks
