I think that's some great, constructive criticism.

I know of two or three third-party web sites which make some attempt to monitor and release time-sensitive news related to DNN.  I don't really feel they are adequate though, and besides, it would seem to make more sense to have that info come directly from dotnetnuke.com itself.  The marketing project seems to have its goals elsewhere.  Nonetheless, posting this constructive criticism there might make a difference, I'd encourage you to do so.

The best I've found is the Gemini Change Log at:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project/ChangeLog.aspx?PROJID=2

Gemini is very flexible and I believe it is easy to see the bugs remaining before release and so on. I do think it worth hiding this info from casual users who don't grok the complexities of putting a release together and will want to second guess folks without being willing to put in their time fixing code...

I don't want to rely on my memory for deciding when to use the source vs install vs upgrade release, and then to recall what changes I might have had to make to module A, B or C that just got overridden with a different module. I've not a solution yet but the idea's gestating...
