Thanks for the info.. as I suspected.  As an alternative to PDFlib, you may want to look at iTextSharp.  This an open source PDF library very similar to PDFlib.  Not sure if it will work with DNN V4.

iTextSharp will work with DNN 4.x but requires extensive manipulation of relatively low level objects (chunks, paragraphs, table cells, etc.).  If you primarily need datagrid-like reports, you might like to take a look at my PDF Generator which is a VB.NET/ASP.NET wrapper around the various classes of iTextSharp to allow a pdf report layout and its SQL query datasource to be defined in an XML file. A demonstration is available on the Projects-->PDF Generator page at http://www.wesnetdesigns.com. Both its VB.NET source code and an installable .dll file are available (free) on the Downloads page.  You will need to register first to access the downloads.  PDF Generator was written last winter for use in a specific DNN module. I have not had time to extend its capabilities as I would like but planned its framework for future extension.  No support is available as I have made this available to the ASP.NET/DNN community to show what can be done with iTextSharp.
