If you wanted to make sure that your html code stays in tact you could put it all in that field, but yes, any WYSIWYG editor that is based on the MSHTML dll (and most are) will inherit this problem. 

The higher end editors have built-in ways to correct or skirt around this problem though.

Thanks John,

We are actually using the r.ad telerik editor now.  So, is it really true that you cannot enter the following script into the html mode of a rich text editor and have it actually work?

<script type="text/javascript"> document.write("Hello World!") </script>

Or am I missing something simple...

I haven't actually used telerik, but they should have a way to insert javascript without the designer mangling it.  You may have to put it in Xhtml compliant mode or something.
