Thank you.  I forgot to check in module settings.  For those still learning the system, this fix may need applied to each instance of the announcements module.

My DNN was 4.6.2, upgraded to 4.7, then the module upgrade.  I have about 20 announcements modules in our intranet and I needed to add the token to about half of them.

Please explain how you would consider this to be a problem.

Step by step guidance:

  1. log on to your site as someone with admin rights to the module in question
  2. open module settings
  3. open the Announcement module specific settings (at the bottom of the page)
  4. insert the following text inside the item template
       [EDIT]
(somewhere near the title token would be a good location
  5. update the module settings
  6. ready

why?  because you have to do this on every install...   this a high bug.. and should be fixed and patched in the core download and project download..  so we don't have to do this on all our new customer websites

sorry Brian, i disagree with your classification as a "high bug".

"so we don't have to do this on all our new customer websites"

Surely you mean "old" customer websites, because this only happens on upgrades, not on fresh module instances...
