did you set expiration dates for any of the items?

Nope. I actually also tried just deleting the module then adding in new announcements. The first one goes in fine every time, but then on the second or third I was getting the first one vanish. I am guessing this was some sort of problem with the announcement table. I also tried removing all the entries from the table and starting again and this didn't fix it. It was only after actually deleting the table and reinstalling that it started working.

not sure how to go about this. Perhaps a fluke with your database.

It would help if you could give me exact steps to reproduce the issue, however, i think that since it is working for you after reinstallation, that it cannot reproduced.

Is this an upgraded DNN version, with an upgraded module?

Hi There,

It was a total fresh install. I did do a lot of adding and deleting announcements and announcement modules, maybe this caused the database to be screwed up. Wish I had kept a copy now, but sadly did not.

I will let you know if it happens again.

Thanks, Marc

OK, it's still doing it, just not to the same module.

I have the announcement module on several pages. The one on the main page is now showing weird behavior. It has 1 announcement on it, no expiry and history set to blank. I added another announcement and the new announcement now shows, but the old one has vanished. I've checked the table and it IS still there.. it's just not showing.

OK, I think I have found the problem at it was a silly mistake by me.

I had acceidently put a <HR> in the Alternate Item Template box instead of the Seperator Template box and this was causing it to totally mess up what was displayed.

My apologies, it was my own silly fault.

Many Thanks

Marc
