Nina, sorry, but I can only provide solutions according to the symptom descriptions from the poster and the error message, using my memory from own experience and many posts in these and other forums, i.e. I cannot know everything, of course, and cannot keep in memory all issues posted. If you already know there is an issue, I assume, that you contacted Mauricio and provided him with your solution, so it can be included in the next release.

Sebastian

PS: granting access in DNN file manager for non-secure folders is not really a security issue, as read access only controls, who can insert an image from inside any edit page and gets the image displayed, if inserted using the linkclick.aspx http handler. There are no file system permissions associated, as for accessing via common link the anonymous user needs read access to the /portals subfolder.

A couple questions.

So after viewing the logged issue, are you saying the issue is the fact that i have my DNN web-site in a folder as opposed to the root ? if so is there a work around to this that i do on my end ?

that is, what I read from the posts. can you try to add a parent portal alias to your existing portal (e.g. sub.myportal.com instead of www.myportal.com/add) and retry to add the an image and check, if the error persists? thank you
