Can I get a status update on this? I have a large university production site that has the same issue. Switching from Rich Text to Basic Editor yields the FCKeditorAPI is undefined

 

After getting the error you cannot switch back. Just have to go to another page. The FCKEditor Provider still shows a 2007 version. If the new one comes out, does it solve this issue?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
