Is there a way to limit the available templates per portal or per module or per instance?

There is a list of possible solutions related to the issues listed here but not sure if it helps

Make Portal,

since DNN runs besides this issue, this is for sure not an ASP.Net installation issue. This might be caused by a problem in DNN 4.8.0, did you try to upgrade to DNN 4.8.4 (simply extract upgrade files over existing files and browse to your site). Does the issue persist now?

I can confirm FckHtmlEditorProvider 02.00.02 BetaA runs fine in 4.8.4 (upgrade and new install), however with 4.8.0 it is a different story.  With an existing 4.8.0, I got the error as posted earlier.  With a brand new 4.8.0 install the editor does not even display at all.
