I've found out the solution for my problem : Image gallery doesn't show the "Create new folder" and "Upload new file" buttons

Reason : My browser (IE) is not passing the session cookie to the new window

Solution : On the browser menu, choose Tools --> Internet Options ---> Privacy Tabs and set the security level to "Low" (I'm using Win 2003)

However, this won't happen in FireFox.

Best regards,

Duc

This has to be with security settings. IE has problems with window.open and a configuration to open each window on its own process (This is common from win2003 server)

I really don't know why Microsoft do not fix this bug because it comes from version 4x.

I included the use of window.showmodaldialog that works the same and don't have the cookie problem, but it is only IE compatible, so I validated it to downgrade to window.open when no IE is detected.

Those changes were included in the new way Custom settings page is opened

I also included a configuration to open the custom settings inside the same window or a new window by using a simple normal link (Including the _blank) and not javascipt. This should work for highly secured browsers. This is configurable inside web.config
