Can anyone help me on this.

I'm having issues with the reporting services section of the module. I follow all the steps in the FAQ (as well as here) but I get stuck where I've got to copy the two files. I can't find them anywhere....I have installed the reportviewer.exe program, it appears in my add remove programs but the files are nowhere to be found?

Please help??

(Frustrated)

Hi Stan,

Last year I wrote a (Dutch) tutorial on how to get this setup properly. After you have installed the reportviewer you need to copy the DLL files to the DNN bin directory. In my case the files were located at "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005".

After you have done that you will probably run into an errormessage telling you that you need to add something to the web.config in the httphandler section. As far as i recall it it, the string to add was shown on a webpage, but you can also find it over here.

You should be able to proceed from there, but don't forget to grant the right authorization to your the aspnet account or aspnet network service in the Reporting service otherwise, the reports module will not be able to access the reports on the reporting services server.

Marc

Hi Everyone,

I translated my article about the SSRS & DNN from a Dutch version into an English version. For anyone interested, you can find it over here.

Hi, I can't seem to see the Add/Remove Extension on the Report module where you say that I should be able to browse Reporting_Services_Visualizer_01.01.00_Install.zip... i already installed Reports module, I can also see the Reporting_Services_Visualizer_01.01.00_Install.zip on the specified folder you said. I just can't seem to see the options... did i forget something?
