Andrew,

You were suggesting 3rd party reporting tools, like Crystal Reports. I would like to add another tool to this list: Qlikview.

I know that there are webparts to use it in MOSS 2007 but I think it be very nice to see this in DNN aswell.

It's certainly something that will be considered.  When it comes to 3rd-party tools, my goal is to create an ecosystem where it is relatively straightforward to create a Visualizer and add it to a directory on the DotNetNuke.com website (much like modules).  Then, these companies (or other developers) can produce these Visualizers themselves.

I would like the ability to populate a predesign PDF with the output of the report.

How bout something that supports building "dashboard" style views with IMC to allow for drill downs?

I would like to see a way to do a master detail view.

Either by tieing two reports modules together, or by rendering two views in the same module.

One would create an unordered list that could be rendered as a menu, or tabs or....

Clicking on the list would act as a select or filter on the detail portion.

I think it would also be useful if you could specify JQuery that could be loaded along with the report to alter the rendering and function.
