Greetings All ~ This pinned thread is dedicated to discussion of the recently announced C# Source Code Project (http://dnnc.codeplex.com).  If there is sufficient interest, this thread could turn into a dedicated forum.

The current C# source code package (assembled by community contribution) can be found here: 5.4.2

We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Wow, never thought I would see the day when it was backed by the core! As a module developer (and until recently, module vendor) who uses C# it still never worried me that the core was in VB - it was fairly easy to work it out on the odd time I had to debug.

I just hope this does not detract from other more important development effort - I would have thought choosing one of the other would make more sense rather than running them side by side with double the check-ins, bug fixes, work etc.

On a clean-slate, I would of course pick C# in that case (here comes so furious debates as usual ;). Anyway, interesting progress ;)

Personally, I think this is a complete and utter waste of time. If you can't even state the benefits of one over the other, even the time spend on writing a blog post about it is a waste. One shoud better spend his time on things that really help the community forward (grin).

Even though I prefer C#, I dont see why this is necessary.. Its already in VB.NET, why spend the time on something that wont anyone give anything extra, when there are other things that should be a higher priority?
