in Admin :: Eventviewer, when you click "Mail Event", in code behind (\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\LogViewer\LogViewer.ascx.vb), a local method DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.LogViewer.SendEmail() is called, which calls local GetSelectedExceptions(), to add events as attachments. The scheduler executes DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.SendLogNotifications (declared in file \Library\Services\Log\EventLog\SendLogNotifications.vb), which calls LoggingProvider.Instance.SendLogNotifications(), whereas you find concrete implementation in \Library\Providers\LoggingProviders\DatabaseLoggingProvider\DBLoggingProvider.vb, i.e. you should be able to create your own improved logging provider for your purpose - maybe even as a codeplex project :))

Sebastian, thank-you for the information - and for assistance you have provided through the years on other DNN issues.  Much appreciated.  I'll be looking into this sometime early next week.
