Hi Everyone, I'm not a pro programmer but dabble in ASP.net when I need to.  I have what I think is likely a simple code snippet for those of you that are pros.  I need quick help so I'm willing to pay for it.  Here's all I need:

I have a download.aspx form that is tracking how many times it is run.  The code is in line in the aspx page (not codebehind) to keep it simple.  I simply need to be able to read the DNN cookie and extract the username if they person has saved their login for the site.  My ASPX page runs in the same domain as the DNN instance and the ASPX file sits in the wwwroot of the DNN install.

Whomever posts the correct code snippet here first will get $50 via PayPal from me.  I'll post here as soon as the person is paid.  Please post all code needed to make it work and consider that the code will be directly in the ASPX file.  Also consider that my DNN version is 4.9.1.

Thank you.

Clarification:

(1) The code must be vb.net  (I don't know C#)

(2) When the user runs my download.aspx page, I want the code to read the DNN auth cookie on the user's PC and if it's found, extract the username, so I can log the username in the click tracking for the downloads.  If no cookie is found then return a null username.

Thanks

I can't use linkclick for this particular application.  I have to use custom code. Thanks.

any reason why you need to use the Cookie and not use the DNN framework?
