Thank you very much for your response but it is the tree view that is found in core js, not nav tree view.

[script src="/js/dnn.controls.dnntree.js"][/script]

that was my point i.e. that javascript used to be used for the treeview, but since 5.2.0 the treeview no longer uses it but instead uses telerik. The only thing we still ship with that uses the "old" treeview script is that ancient provider

I still cannot find where the version is preventing the javascript files from being loaded.
ie11 (without compatibility view) loads
[script src="/js/dnn.js"][/script]
[script type="text/javascript"]
if (!window.DDRjQuery) { if (window.jQuery && (jQuery.fn.jquery ]= "1.3")) DDRjQuery = jQuery; else document.write( ('%3Cscript src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs... type="text/javascript"%3E%3C/script%3E')); }[/script]
[script type="text/javascript"]

but ie9 loads
[script src="/js/dnncore.js" type="text/javascript"][/script]
[script src="/js/dnn.js"][/script]
[script src="/js/dnn.dom.positioning.js"][/script]
[script src="/js/dnn.xml.js"][/script]
[script src="/js/dnn.xmlhttp.js"][/script]
[script type="text/javascript"]

string search of the database, core source and control source does not find DDRjQuery

The string DDR suggests the current menu component which is DDRMenu. I have no idea if it works on your DNN version. If it does it may be the source.

The menu is not the issue.
I am looking for the location where the javascript files are loaded (or not loaded in the case of ie11 without compatibility view) and was trying to find based on what was being written to the page.

I still need to find this and fix
