yes, we do not remove skin objects (we do occasionally add them) - FYI http://www.thinkofdesign.com/resources/dotnetnuke-skinning-reference/#obj-styles is a more modern reference (and great for all the core skin objects) which shows you both the classic ascx request as well as the widget framework versions (using objects). On that note widgets may be a better option - the wiki covers how they work and has links to a few similar styles related widgets - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Widget.aspx

BTW http://www.40fingers.net/WeblogsNews/Weblogs/tabid/58/ID/80/language/en-US/40FINGERS-Style-Helper-Skin-Object-020201-for-DotNetNuke-5.aspx is an updated version of that skin object as far as I know.

[EDIT]  Ignore this....I was too stupid to see my reply go to a second page.

What about this?

Ok, that's just styles, but for all know there are some for meta data and scripts as well?

Not that my intention is to copy and paste, but do someone perhaps have a link to a free existing skin that implement what I'm trying to figure out (including a lot of custom css and css files and meta data in a skin?)

Either case, started reading about widgets just now...hopefully can nut this out on my own. :-)
